Hello all..I have a 400 ...cant rember the year..82?....anyway its been very reliable. Lately..the longer its on...hour or so..it starts hummminng and gets increases with time. It has been a very good amp. I hate to have to replace it....any thoughts? Thanks and God Bless all here.

John, do you have the amp plugged into the wall direct or, are you going through a power strip with a two prong plug? Sounds like you may have something close to your amp causing the interference. |

If you turn the reverb to zero, does the hum stop? _________________ Franklin D10 8&5, Excel D10 8&5. Both amazing guitars! Homemade buffer/overdrive with adjustable 700Hz "Fender" scoop., Moyo pedal, GT-001 effects, 2x TDA7294 80W class AB amps, or 2x BAM200 for stereo. TT12 and BW1501 each in its own closed back wedge. Also NV400 etc. etc... |

Its not a hard job, i have done electronic repair for about 20 years. If you do it yourself just get good quality caps, id recommend Nichicon brand. i have used them in PA eq and high power HF stuff as well, they are highly recommended and only cost a fraction more. |
