Mike shows a really catchy use of lowering strings 6 and 10 at 4:28 on this video. You really have to keep cranking the volume pedal after picking those low notes to make them ring out loud and clear. He use the same series of riffs in a few different songs. The great Jimmy Capps and the rest of the band lay back to let Mike's guitar sound out front.
