Wondering if it's possible to do a decent "Boot Heel Drag" on the E9, even? Any one have a tab?
Thanks! |

There was a E9th TAB for Boot Heel Drag in the key of A. But it's an octave higher than it is normally played,12th fret AB pedals down. The low string slide into A,G# to A on C6th, is below 10 string E9th range, other than that its playable on E9th at the 5th fret. The TAB looks like it's from the Rebel site.

"Never mind." E. Latella
That's what I get for posting before I have my coffee. Actually I just saw that it was Ricky Davis and I know he put a lot of tabs on the rebel site so I just "knee-jerk" assumed it was the one and didn't read it through. Ha. Yep I like using P6 on E9th...yep...sure...
Anyway if I do see an E9 version I will let you know. I think the one that Bill Chaviers has is free; his web site seems to imply that. You might want to contact him. |

I just saw this thread; Dave/Doyle, where did the years go?
It has been over 60 years since I had the pleasure of learning those tunes from the horses mouth. Due to some health problems I haven't been able to talk to Herb in a few years, but still enjoy his playing more than ever. Thanks to Herb I got to meet most of the TEXAS PLAYBOYS He played with during the middle/late 40's in California before he moved to Houston. You never knew who would show up at the studio or his home. _________________ "Keepin' the steelin' going strong"
