I need a small 1-1/2" x 34-5/8" laminate banding
for a repair on a pedal board. Anyone know where I should look for such a small amount of material?
(Dark walnut in color) Thanks alot... |

Check some of the local woodworking shops. They usually have some. |

Thanks guys for the suggestions, the business I spoke with has the product or they can get it but, the banding comes in 200' and 250' rolls. I need 34-1/2". Hoping someone on the forum had a source for smaller amounts of it. Thanks again |

Grizzly Industrial sells some veneers in small sizes especially for instrument construction and repair. You might check with them. HTH. _________________ "For every expert, there is an equal and opposite expert." -- Arthur C. Clarke |

Keep checking your local cabinet makers. They usually always have small pieces that are left from a job. I know because I worked for a cabinet maker one time, and they had piles of "drop" from jobs. They might not have the color or design you want though. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Thanks Richard. The dark walnut color isn't to popular in typical home cabinetry and counter tops.
I never thought it would be such a hard item to find.
Thanks Chris. Been there, tried that.
Russ, I have not tried that but, I'm going to. Thanks |

You might want to check the web for woodworking project catalogues. When I worked in the business. I used to get several catalogues from companies that sold laminates for smaller projects. You're probably looking for Gunstock Walnut laminate. It"'s very dark, but, still has the grain showing. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the mags anymore and I can't remember their names. |
