I have a HD 130 212 that I used to play. I always thought it sounded pretty good with steel and could also double for as a guitar amp..I've been trying to sell it cause I can't hardly pick it up anymore. But I've been toying with the idea of putting the amp into a head only configuration.
I believe these have solid state pre-amp and a tube power amp? if so..
Is it possible to tap the power amp section with a modification?
Can anyone recommend a place to buy the cabinet and someone who could tap the power amp stage?
Thanks for any help. |

The 2 TRS jacks on the front panel allow you to run an effects loop between the pre, and power amp. |

Bill, I don't have this on the front, unless you mean the two input channels... nothing like this on the back either. |

I guess I should know what I'm talking about before I post! I have an RD100, and that's the way it is configured, just assumed the 130 would be the same, but it's not. |

Somebody may blast me for this but....I had an HD130 at one time. Yes, SS preamp. Most also had a 12A_7 as a phase inverter. There were a couple of different versions of this amp however.
I'd leave it alone and just cram it in the head cab. _________________ On man....let the smoke out of another one. |
