Jeff, I sent you an email a couple of days ago and haven't heard back from you. Would you sell it without the mixer. If so how much? Thanks, DA

Jeff, how would you describe the acoustic sound versus maple (usually described as bright) or mahogany (usually described as warm).

Tom,

It's in-between according to the Beard folks. I like it better than the maple (which I've played) but since I haven't played a mahogany one I can't compare. It has a nice (although quiet) acoustic voice that is well balanced between treble and bass strings (the bass is surprisingly crisp).

It sounds good amplified too but it has it's own sound. The Fishman passive pickup on the cone is pretty much what you would expect. The Lace sensor retains a bit of the resonance but can sound like a lap steel too. Blending in some of the Fishman with the Lace has been my favorite.

Thanks for asking,

Jeff
