Anyone know who the guy playing the Fender lap steel was on that show? Good to see those guys back in action.

That was the one and only David Gilmour himself.
Nice set, it brought a lump to my throat to see Waters and Gilmour back on stage together again, and without a whole marching band of extra musicians to help them along...

It was? I thought I saw him in the back with his black strat... either way it was a pretty cool show, as a lifelong punk rock fan I am not supposed to be a fan of Floyd, but they have been my guilty secret for a lot of years.

You can find a live video of him playing a Gibson lap steel on this site, as well as videos of David Lindley, Dave Hole, Kelly Joe Phelps, Steve Howe and many others. The sound/image quality isn't too good though......

I had Roger Waters staying in the duplex across from me right before his last solo tour, out in Ocean Beach. I was a little blown away that it was him and he told me in no uncertain terms that "I'm not dead yet"! He looked pretty heathy for a Rock Star.
