Anyone know who the guy playing the Fender lap steel was on that show? Good to see those guys back in action. |

That was the one and only David Gilmour himself.
Nice set, it brought a lump to my throat to see Waters and Gilmour back on stage together again, and without a whole marching band of extra musicians to help them along...

It was? I thought I saw him in the back with his black strat... either way it was a pretty cool show, as a lifelong punk rock fan I am not supposed to be a fan of Floyd, but they have been my guilty secret for a lot of years.

You can find a live video of him playing a Gibson lap steel on this site, as well as videos of David Lindley, Dave Hole, Kelly Joe Phelps, Steve Howe and many others. The sound/image quality isn't too good though......

I had Roger Waters staying in the duplex across from me right before his last solo tour, out in Ocean Beach. I was a little blown away that it was him and he told me in no uncertain terms that "I'm not dead yet"! He looked pretty heathy for a Rock Star. |
