We have recently developed a new string set here at Jagwire that to date, has so far proved to be what several have reported to be the best gauge combination for the push-pull style guitars. We have received reports that this new gauge combination has brought out the very best in tone and feel for these type of guitars.

Although we are happy to hear this, we want to do more extensive research on this before going into production with this, and we are now looking for push-pull guitar players to give us their expert opinions on the new sets we are developing. At this time, this is for the E-9th tuning only. These hybred sets will be provided to the player free of charge in exchange for your input.

Again, this is for "push-pull" type guitars only, and any brand of guitar.

For those who would be interested in assisting us with this new development, please contact me directly with your name and address at:

For those of you who have been sending me personal emails asking "what are the gauges" and/or "what's the difference," none of this will be revealed here until AFTER the testing and results of such have been completed, and all participants have had an opportunity to voice their opinions. However, if you are a push-pull player and would like to be invloved in this project, then please apply as indicated above in the original post. If you are accepted for this project, you will be sent a return email confirming that, and the stipulations of such.

Thank you.

I will respect your wish not to reveal string diameters, but do your sets differ from the Mike Cass sets you can buy from Emmons other than maker?

First, we want to thank everyone for their interest in being a part of our Beta Test for the new Jagwire Push Pull String Sets.

We have met our quota for Beta Testers for this portion of the project.

However, if you didn't get in on this portion, watch this post, because we have one other set we may be testing later. It all depends on this response we get from this test group.

Thanks again everyone for your dedication and support.
