| Today on KIXI Radio in Seattle I heard a song by an unknown singer, to me. There was a long steel guitar solo in the middle of the song. At the end of the song the announcer said the singer was Joey McIntyre and the name of the song was "Talk To me." Does anyone know who the steel player was on Joey's recording? |

| Joey was one of the singers in the '80s group "New Kids On The Block". Doug Livingston (A.K.A. Ernie Bovine) did the steel work. |

| Joey has released 5 CDs. Number 5 is titled Talk To Me. I have the CD on Order, perhaps the steel guitarist is listed on the liner notes. The steel player may be using a non-pedal steel guitar and seems to be using the E-13th tuning.?? |

I picked up Joey McIntyre's CD, "Talk To Me" last evening at Silver Platters in Seattle.
b0b informed me that Doug(Earnest Bovine)records mainly with a S-12 PSG with an extended E-9th tuning.

Actually, I said that he usually records on a 12 string E9th. I don't know whether he brings his S-12 or D-12 to recording sessions.

| I'm 99% sure that I used the Franklin guitar on that. If not, it was the Zum. Both would be single 12 extended E9. I haven't heard it so I hope it sounds good. I was there to play a slow song. But then we spent most of the session on a fast song as an afterthought, and I kinda doubt if any of that survived into the mix. |
