I just got offered a one-off gig in Lima (late July), and am looking for any possible way to NOT fly any of my guitars... Anybody on the forum from there? If so I would love to talk about possibly renting a psg; the promoter is providing backline and there is a budget for such things.

thanks in advance...

Hello Pete,
I have never taken my steel to Peru but I have taken a Gibson six string a couple of times. I flew on
Anerican Airlines and they allowed me to carry it on
and stow it in one of the forward lockers. I think
American still goes in and out of Lima. You might
give them a call and check if they will allow you to
take it on board with you.
Good Luck,
Dave
