Heres a picture of Big Sandy and his Fly Right Boys.

The PS looks like it has a number of unique design characteristics. Does anyone know anything about this brand of PS (whatever it is)?
Just idle curiosity.

Thanks, Billy. I figured a 6 letter name beginning with S might be Sierra, but it looks nothing like any Sierra guitar I've seen (not saying much, really)

I noticed the stand-alone bridge and the funny leg mounts (THAT should have given it away, eh?!)

Back in the seventies, I had a Sierra D-10 from about the same era. Made in the early sixties, probably. I don't remember what it sounded like, but it had a cable operated changer, weighed a ton, and it broke strings constantly. The pedal stops were rubber bumpers on the underside of the pedals (!), and I always carried a plywood board around to set it on. Ten pedals and one knee lever. I'm sure it was very advanced for it's time, but by the time I got it, it's time had long passed, and I couldn't wait to get something more modern.

Mine had a formica finish; I can't tell if the D-8 pictured above is wood or not. Maybe Lee will comment.

Here's a couple of photos of the one I used to have:
