Just an early note to promote the NEISGJ February 24 and 25 2007 at the Historic Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo Iowa. This year we have the great Ron Elliott and again our friend Dewitt "Scotty" Scott along with 30 other steel players from six states.
This year will be full of "surprises" and you won't want to miss it!

Michael Scott and Miss Lana will also be there from SteelRadio.com which is always a special treat to have with us. The Jump Start academy will be showcasing along with getting at least 2 more new young students started at playing steel guitar!
We are excited about this year as always, maybe a little more. Come an join Lefty, Dale, Dennis and Kirk at the NEISGJ where "No One is A Stranger"

Have a wonderful Holiday Season!

When Kirk says "surprises" hold onto your seats!
This is one of the best shows in the U.S.
The entire organization goes all out to make it just that. This year will be my tenth at the show and I would'nt miss it for anything.......Bill

It will be great having you back again Bill along with Audrey and Little Billy. With Ron and Leslie Elliott along with Dewitt "Scotty" and Mary Scott in the house, it will be a wonderful experience for everyone. They don't make them any better!

Hey Bill - let's hope the seat they hang on to isn't made by Dighton!

Folks, I can't tell you enough just how fantastic this association is and the great show they host. It's true - No one is a stranger at NEIowa. If you leave there not feeling like you're part of the family, you went to the wrong place.

Great people, perfect venue, and some of the best players in the industry. Besides, who can turn down a headliner like Ron Elliott and the Grand Ambassador Dewitt Scotty Scott?

Hope to see you all in Waterloo in February!

Yup, showtime is rapidly approaching and we're elated to have Ron Elliott play our show for the first time. He is one smooth and gifted artist and one of my favorites! In addition, it's always a treat to have Scotty grace our stage displaying his awesome touch and tone on his frypan. If you love steel guitar and looking for something to do Feb. 24-25, check out the NE IA Steel Guitar Jam at the Electric Park Ballroom in Waterloo, Iowa. The tentative artist schedule and lodging information can be viewed at our website, www.steelguitarjam.com. ...lefty

Miss Lana - That seat may make an appearance again and some lucky winner just may OWN IT! It is a very reliable seat made for extended practice periods.

Tim- Glad you are coming and I could use another fellow "Carter Picker!"

I was fortunate enough to get to sing with Mr. Elliot at the Lexington show last Nov. He played a great set, and is a Hell of a lot of fun to be around.Ron and his lovely wife Leslie are two of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.

Ron and Leslie, Welcome to Iowa and the NEISGJ. I think you'll enjoy the atmosphere of the old ballroom and it's steel guitar fan support. We also look forward to having Scotty and Mary with us every year.
And yes, the Dighton Poop-A-Seat will be dusted off and on display. Even though it's the first model (#1) and of great sentimental value, someone could drive home with it if the price is right. It's a great gift for a debut steel player with stage fright. Kirk is ready to build another one when #1 goes.
There will also be another open PreJam on friday evening. Details will be posted sometime next week. The host establishment will be closer to the Heartland Inn this year.
More Later,
Dennis

I'm glad Kirk doesn't play banjo also, He'd still be looking for the mouthpiece. I don't have the heart to tell him.

Yep Bruce, still pumping a little iron. Gotta handle big brutes like you when they get out of hand with too many silos. Wink
