Just saw an episode of Hal playing on an episode of the Wilburn Bros. tonight. It was two-tone, with the apron being a dark rosewood stain and maple top/necks......it had a inlaid pearl block where the the "sho bud" sticker usually was......and it also had some pearl blocks at the end of the fingerboard (right hand side).....Grover open-geared grovers or kluson tuners. Does anyone know where this guitar is?????

Are you sure that it wasn't a Permanent... Chris Lawrence in Los Angeles owns Hal Rugg's old Perm and it sounds incredible.

Randy, I saw that one too. Thas was Hal's fingertip. George Lewis (pres. of George L'S products) has that guitar. He used it for years to test the design of his pickups. The permanent is a guitar I would love to aquire as I was working at Sho-Bud (paying off a guitar) when it was built. I did a bit of grunt work on that one.

Thanks for the info, Johnny. I don't guess he'd be interested in selling it, huh? BTW - thanks again for picking with us in Bryan a couple of months of ago. It was such an honor to pick with you. I really appreciate the encouraging words you gave Leslie and I. Your too cool!
