This may not be everybody's cup of tea, but these are the kind of sessions i get called to do usually. Kind of spacey, Americana/folk stuff, Thats not really steel guitar music. Its not my best playing by any means but i do kind of like the tone.
P.S. The "solo" is not a solo...Its a back up track the producer glued together. My wife says everyone I record with In Ithaca sounds the same. This guy is a very good singer/songwriter(Walter Strauss). Here is the link, let me know if it doesnt work...BOB...

A .cda file is the file that cd players read to play a song from a cd (C)ompact (D)isk (A)udio
It is a small file, about 1k.
It sounds like he posted a link to the file on the cd.
He needs to make an mp3 file from the song and then post the mp3 file.

Charlie.. its working fine here.. If you have dial up,your toenails will grow while waiting for it to load.. Its a good size file.. This piece is pretty indicative of a lot of the music coming out of Ithaca NY.. lots of spacey/folky/whatever... NO country... bob |

Bob, very thoughtful work and it fits right into the sound of the music. I can see why you would get a lot of these kinds of calls.
Bob C. said, "Kind of spacey, Americana/folk stuff, Thats not really steel guitar music."
Sounds like you're "making it" steel guitar music.

RP... man that reply made my day.. bless your soul!... The reason I get all these type of calls is because I'm the only game in town!..Not many steel guitarists.. LOTS of good talent around here.. but I LONG to play some nice hot E9 country....Its been so long, I think I forgot how!!.. bob |

Bob, Nice tone and style, perfect fit for the song. The lay back progression serves the song and gives it it's own character.
Your experience is evident in listening to your professional control of the instrument.
Hope to hear more of your playing.
