Buddy,
Thanks for replying to my post.
Since you are not too busy at the moment you will have plenty time to visit us in Scotland I can get you a few $50 gigs and free accommodation if you wish.
On a serious note,You have a lot of fans here in Scotland and I know I speak for them all when I say thanks for the inspiration.

Buddy.....you are still my all-time favorite steeler.....I'll never forget our times together in Nashville.......you and Peggy are the greatest......thanks for all you have done for the "Steel Guitar World" . | Buddy Emmons was a big influence on my father in the 60's. He saw Buddy in Laurel, Ms. when he was with Ray Price. I've never seen Buddy live. But one day in the near future I'm going to St' Louis, so maybe I'll get a chance to watch the master at work. |

I have a friend who is still proud of the fact that Buddy visited his house here in England many years ago to sign some records,it was also at that time that Buddy tempted him with the guitar that he still plays to this day,wonder if Buddy remembers

One of Buddy's hobbies is Astronomy and Photography. He has a really extensive setup that allows him to take digital pix through a telescope.
Maybe he has been star gazing?
He is one of my favorite MUSICIANS in the whole world. What a cool guy! |

After playing six or seven gigs last year I entertained the thought of moving back to South Bend, Indiana because I heard there wasn’t much work up there. Then Lady Luck stepped in and I started out slow this year and tapered off, so it looks like Nashville’s still the place for me.

I took a weekend of lessons from you one weekend in Houston. When my brother ask me about your playing, I said you were everything I heard you were but the best part of Buddy is his sense of humor..glad to know you still keep that with you. |

| We all have heard so much about Buddy Emmons and his playing and how great a steel player he is. George brought up a good point about his sense of humor. On the Bell Cove video he shows that sense of humor while playing and after the second song when he is asked to play "Take Me As I Am". I miss hearing him on country radio and I guess he may be tired of so much traveling and just wants to take it easy for a while. At any rate is still is #1 in my books. |

I spent most all my life working hard at doing "something".I couldn't wait until the time in my life for when I could just take it easy and just do "Nothing". Well I found out now that its a lot harder to relax now that I don't have "Nothing" to do...But maybe If I just sit here by the pool I'll think of "something". Ah shucks even if I did it wouldn't amount to Nothing. My wife insist I do something to help bring in some income to the household...So I am gonna help her find a job...

| Buddy, you and Phil Baugh did a gig in the summer of 1981 with Sammi Smith at the Ramada Inn in Sedalia, Missouri. I came in after the show was over and you and Phil were the only two left in the room and the two of you were on stage putting away your gear. While you were doing this there was a video tape playing on a large screen, which was a VHS recording of that evenings show, did you get a copy of it? |

If you want to come back to South Bend, I'll be glad to step down and you can play on my show "The Hoosierbillies" in Goshen. I think there are a few old friends up here that would be pretty happy and surprised if you ever showed up. |
