Last night on Dish Network channel 9409 (for us anyway) there was an old Branson program with Eddie Rabbit. It show to steelers, one played a Mullen and the other was an Emmons. I didn't recongnise either of them. Did anyone happen to catch that show and know who they were?

Yes, Farris. I wish they had more of that programing. I found that one by accident. Now if I could just find some of those licks by accident and remember how to do them.

Hey George, Dennis here, how are things in Northern Minnesota? The Branson Jam is on every Friday night, and it just started a few weeks ago. I managed to tape them all so far, so keep watching. Also, I tape the Midwest Country shows from Sandstone on Saturday nights, so check them out as well. If you miss them, they rebroadcast the Midwest Country show on Monday afternoon.

Don't forget the Wilburn Brothers on Thursday, and Porter Wagonor on Friday nights. All great country shows.

Good to hear from you Dennis! I did catch that one last night with the Sandstone show. They have great entertainment always. Eddie the Steel Kids uncle was on lead guitar (I can never remember his name). What a super picker!

I'm looking forward to the NE Iowa Jam in February, hope you can make it. Lots of really great pickers!

Jennings, I think the channel you are looking for is "RFDTV" on DishNetwork satellite system. They run some old country music shows.

George,I didn't see the show in question, but I only know of three steel players who traveled with Eddie Rabbitt...Barry Kelley,Pat Severs, and Ned Davis(in that order).I think all three of them played an Emmons at one time or another...I know Pat Severs did because he and I swapped Emmons guitars while he was with Eddie and I was with John Conlee(the first time)...

George, the lead player on the Midwest Country show is Leroy Glazer, but I don't believe that he is Eddie Lange's uncle. He is from Canada, and the guitar he plays is a one of a kind that his brother made for him. Yes, he is a great picker. Also, Joe Savage is the main steel player, and you might catch Cal Hand from time to time as well.

Sorry, but we won't be in Waterloo this year, but will be thinking of you all at that time. Be sure to send my best to Lefty and the gang.

Yes Dennis, that's his name alright. I can never remember it. I thought he was Eddies' uncle. I did know that his guitar was hand made and one of a kind.

I didn't see Joe Savage on this show but I know he works Sandstone quite a bit.
