I went to an excellent Randle Currie Concert last night in Mitchell, SD. Some guy named Brad was singing.

Yeah, but Frank - Randle got to play on Brad's last CD, so he gets to play his own licks too. I'm a fan of Randle and Brad, and I really give Brad credit for using his guys (or at least one!) in the studio.

For the photogs: Minolta Z1 3.2 mp, 10:1 Zoom, No flash used, all available light handheld. If anyone wants a full size picture, email me. The files are a bit large for dialup tho....
Randle said he was playing a 8X7 with P4 set to PF change. He has several guitars and is getting another Franklin which will have 9 floors. He enjoys playing in a band where the players are allowed to strech out and the leader features their talents. (paraphrased) All in all a very nice guy. He did an excellent job on Dobro also --Whiskey Lullaby--
We were 8th row center and volume was about right, could have been even a bit louder. |

The only comparison I would ever make was that of Vince Gill sharing his award as musician of the year with John Hughey. That was a genuine show stopper and a one of a kind happening. They would never let it occur nowadays.

| I'm fairly certin Brad used all of his road band to record his last album. (I think Wes Hightower did the harmonies) I'd have to double check the liner notes but I'm almost 100% sure. I know that the drummer, bass player, guitar player, and fiddler have been with him for quite a while now (4+ years). Randle and the piano player are more recent additions but have been around a while. They get to appear in his videos too!! Cool job, great guys! |

Brads fiddle player is Justin Williamson and Brad used him Randle and Ben the drummer on the last cd.
I dont think it was Justin you seen they have been too busey this summer.
