Dear Friends,
I am happy to announce that my new website is finally up and running. This website is dedicated to the great Lloyd Green, his music and historical data about his amazing career. I have been working on this project for the last couple of months and wanted to invite you to visit.
Lloyd and his wife Dot both were graciously supporting this project by providing a wealth of information and historical data. As you can imagine, a project like this leaves endless space for additions and updates, so I will continue to work on updating the website with more music and information in the near future (probably the next 20-30 years! ). Let me tell you, I have a great time doing that plus it gives me lots of opportunities to listen to Lloyd’s playing.
On the website you will find biographic information, photos, soundclips (I have tried to include a lot of clips of records that are not so well known!) and lots of details about Lloyd’s recording career, the #1 hit records he played on, his instrumental recordings and an amazingly long (but still incomplete) list of artists he recorded with.
For those of you who use high speed connections, some of the pages have background music, so turn your speakers up, wait a minute for the music to load, relax and listen. For those of you using low speed connections, it might take about 10-15 minutes for the background sounds to load, but while loading you still can navigate through the pages (open photos etc).
I will continue to add more information to make this site a reliable source of information about one of the greatest musicians who has ever touched a Pedal Steel Guitar.

I just wanted to say a great big "Thanks" for all the nice comments and all the visits. So far we had over 500 visits in not even 24 hours, what an impressive proof for the high level of appreciation for Lloyd Green and his playing!

Thank you for dedicating your time to create such a beautiful web site for the one steeler who touches my heart with nearly every note he plays. I am astounded by the masterful playing on the Revisited C[D] - how he creatively and effortlessly embellishes on his previous phrases. It is also a pleasure to hear him playing on the radio with current artists. Can't wait to hear more.

Hello Walter.
What a great idea to make this Tribute to a player that have had so much impact on so many of us! I have been a BIIIIIG fan of his style and playing since I started on steel in 75.His touch and tone is,at least to my ears, and taste, the best there is.As a collector of steel guitar records I listen to all styles and players, and love many of the great players we have, but there is something in Lloyd`s tone, and playing that really "hit" me in my heart. Many times I get this "chilly" feelings when I listen to him-a strong experience.
You mention in your pages the info Lloyd give you,and what he remember.I will like to tell a little thing about that-Me and Dag Wolf visited Lloyds house on 2 occasions on our trips to Nashville/St.Louis,and I asked him alot of questions about his recording sessions, and he showed me his "booking" books, with all the details about the artist to record with, date, session leader, time, etc, etc. He had several of these books! What a great amount of information, and must be nice to go back and "remember" what happened there and then.I have a full scrap book myself, and it is very funny to go back and look at the newspaper clips from back then.
Thankyou Lloyd for sharing all the info, and being such a great inspirator to many of us,and thanks Walter for putting all this together.Quite a big job!!!

Walter, Thank you, thank you! Great site. "Revisited" has been on the cd player in the car since I got it months ago. Only this week has it been replaced by Lloyd Green, "Master of the Steel Strings". 20 great old cuts on cd. Maybe you could get guys to donate some tab to your site, 'cause everytime I hear Lloyd's turnaround on the chorus he plays after the piano solo on "Green Velvet", my brain unhinges! I'd sure like to see just what the heck he's doin'. Unison notes that just don't go in different directions, but into different dimensions!
Again, thanks.

Hey Great going Walter; lookin' good my friend.
Hey the site is really slow; even on Cable Modem, the loading of the pages are slow, but mainly the loading of the sound clips whether you stream it to play or download it.
Anything you can do about that???

Hi Walter, great site!
I noticed that "Swarming" is missing on Mr.Nashville Sound and I also have an LP called "Sweet Cheeks" released 1979.
It has these songs on it:01-The Lovin' machine 02-Drifter's polka 03-Skillet Lickin' 04-Pickin' pot pie 05-Little Darlin' 06-Green strings 07-Sweet cheeks 08-Pedal Pattle 09-Funny Bunny 10-Red Eye.
It might be a recompilation of older LP's.
