ok,
i will try this again. made a quick web page
and on it is this tune that was done in 1985
by don kates the guy who give me p.s.g lessons. when you open this page the tune should start. hope it works....

| The song is called "Stealin' Corn". It was featured first (as I remember) on the "Introducing The Strangers" album, by Merle Haggard's old group, "The Strangers". |

Hi Paul,
I was just talking about Don Kates last week with a friend in Milwaukee. We were both wondering what ever happened to him. Any idea? Don always struck me as a very committed and studious player. In fact, years ago, he took a live recording of my wife singing at a bar gig and added a fully orchestrated arrangement. Amazing. |

yea, don kates is building custom furniture
in south chicago. he quit playing steel in 1995. i last play with him in 1995 in head'en south band then i took his place playing p.s.g in that band for three years. do remmber johnny edler's?? saw him about a month ago in flint michigan where he lives
