| Maurice... I have a Classic s 10-5+4.. probably made in 70-71??? ..It is pretty tired and I would like to restore it if I can get whatever parts I may need. I have talked to a few nationally known steel guitar repair/ renovation experts who basically told me to forget it,it wasn't worth it unless it was a Sho Bud or Emmons,and that parts were NOT available.This old girl has served me well and faithfully and I'd like to fix her up and keep her around the house to play. I would like to know if you know of a source for parts I may need. If anyone would have a source for old MSA parts I imagine you would know of it. I hate to see this old guitar just collect dust due to a lack of a few small pieces... John at Carter Guitars told me that Bud may have a few pieces around,but I thought I would see if you would care to help out first... any help would be greatly appreciated.. This old MSA deserves to be brought "back to life"... She helped me raise my family...... thanks bob |

Bob, get hold of Wayne Link of Linkon Guitars. He has a post and an email in the Buy and Sell column...He has beaucoup MSA parts or he can fabricate them at a fair price...

Bob C....You're post made my day. I see where you already have a direction concerning getting parts for your MSA guitar. If you get into a bind please contact me and I will do my best to help you.
I can't tell you how much I admire and appreciate the fact you took the initiative to pursue the truth about MSA rather than simply take the word of someone who's motives for providing erroneous information are less than fourthright.
If you would care to contact me through the MSA website I feel sure I can help you with other aspects of restoring your faithful musical companion as well as provide you with some of it's history by means of the serial number.
