I caught the "Family & Friends" show at
DollyWood on Friday. They put on a really
classy show. The band was tight and Stoney
is so complimentary with his playing.
I got to talk with Stoney about some of
his St. Louis adventures as an emcee. I really enjoyed our conversation. He is
a class act.

I met Stoney for the first time in 1998 at Dollywood and I told him I wanted to play the steel guitar and he told me to experiment with it, and I found out that I could play steel, even though my left hand doesn't work. The Kinfolks Show at Dollywood is my favorite show at Dollywood. I learn a lot about steel playin' when I watch Stoney play. Brett Day, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel |
