I'm playing a country club in east Plano this year. It only pays $200 each, but it beats staying home like I had to last year after my surgery and resultant staph infection.

I'll be at the Rest Stop Tavern in beautiful Lebanon, Tn like I have been the last three years playing a 71 Emmons p/p with tone to die for. It's a $15.00 cover for singles and $25.00 for couples. You can bring your own booze and they'll sell you beer or set-ups. They have the biggest burgers you ever saw too. It's a clean Honky-Tonk with lots of dancers and country music.

My band (The Legends) will be playing at the Woodmen of the World lodge in Hampton, Virginia. The money's good ($300.00) each but there's no smoking or drinking at this place. They do dance a lot though, so that makes it pretty good. It's the same money as last year but we played at the White Tail Nudist Park which was very interesting. I sure wish we were playing there again this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JH

Sitting at home with my lovely wife.
First time in many years I've not worked a new years eve.
All this talk about money ,the palace here pays scale just like any other night for it[$65.00]while all the other clubs at least pay double. So staying home for a change don't seem that bad.
I think for me staying home will have it's advantages.
Mike

I'll be staying home. The last time I was at the Ellington hotel, Bumpy Peterson was playing. That'd be 1980. Good luck.

Playing with Southern Breakdown at Yazzi's in Fairview OR. First played with them about 10 years ago on a NYE, and a couple NYs in between. Seems like a good time to recount the years, and remember " our absent brothers". Besides making a Hundred Fifty Bucks... Other possibilities meant driving too far on a bad weather nite.

Happy New Year.

Here's hoping we see another.
