How do I change file associations? For some reason any audio is going to the Quicktime player. When I installed it, I specifically unchecked the according boxes. It's frustrating. May have to un-install the player.
Any information would be appreciated!

The easiest way is to find one of the files you want to change in Windows Explorer. Select it by left clicking once. Now hold shift and right click on the file. Select the menu option "Open with". In the window that opens, scroll to the program you want to use and be sure the box is checked to "Always use this program to open this type of file" |

Ernie,
What Jim said is my favorite way of doing it, but you can also do it another way.
What OS do you have and I can help you out with detailed instructions.

Hi Ernie,
Straight from the Win98SE Help files....
To change which program starts when you open a file
In My Computer or Windows Explorer, on the View menu, click Folder Options.
Click the File Types tab.
In the list of file types, click the one you want to change.
Click Edit.
In Actions, click Open.
Click Edit.
In Application used to perform action, enter the program you want to use to open files that have this extension, and then click OK.
Note
The settings for selected file types are shown in File type details
Hope this helps,
Lou
