Hey Mike, on another topic I mentioned the Peavey MX amp. I have two of these little hybrid beauties and was wondering why they quit making them? For anyone who doesn't know about these, they're a hybrid amp which has four 6L6 power tubes and solid state everything else. They have a 12" Black Widow speaker to boot. The amp is approximately the same size as the NV112 (A NV112 cover will work for both) It has channel switching and is a wonderful amp for guitar. Lately on guitar gigs where I doubled on steel for a few tunes I used the MX and was pleased to see how good it sounded for steel........JH in Va.

Thanks for inquiring Jerry. The MX VTX was part of the VTX family of amps,ie;Classic, Heritage, etc.. It definitely wasn't a "bad" series, but improvements and changes must be made for continued growth of a company. |
