This is normally a quiet preamp. The hum showed up one day and I can get it to leave! It appears related to the reverb circuit; however, I could be wrong. Noticed the hum one day and determined that it was the reverb pot. Contacted MB and replaced the pot. I thought the hum subsided. Unfortunately, it returned. So, I contacted MB and they suggested replacing the single tube in the preamp related to the reverb circuit. Hum still present. Is it likely that the pot replacement worked, but then the pot failed? I just had this occur with a VP pot. Bought two Canadian pots and corrected the VP noise. Just seems unprobable. Need help PLEASE.

Sounds like the spring unit might be the problem. Check and make sure there isn't a broken wire on it.

Thanks Dave! I'll try it out tonight. Any other ideas welcome. I can check out more than one item while I am under the hood.
