Has anybody tried a Celestion Century speaker in a N 112 ? Is the amp 8 or 4 ohms ? The Century is 8 ohms. It`s very light and efficient , 102 dB/w , I think. It would take about 4-5 pounds off the weight...
Thanks,

The amp produces 80 watts into a four ohm speaker load. At 8 ohms, the amp will produce around 50 watts. |

Olli, I have Century in my Fender Stage 112SE. It has a real nice sound, and did cut the weight by about 6 or 7 lbs. This amp puts out over 100 watts, and the speaker's only rated for 50 watts, so I have to "go easy" when playing. Still, it's a great, super-light combination.
I sure wish someone would get on track, and produce a hi-power N-D speaker! It's so silly to have to carry around a 5 pound magnet and big cast aluminum speaker basket when a 1/2 pound magnet and a stamped-steel basket works just as well. |

Donny,
The Eminence Deltalites (both 12" & 15") are
rated at 300 watts! They each weigh about
7 lbs.....that's it. |
