What does the knob on the side of an older EB Volume Pedal do? Is it for minimum volume or to change the sweep?
I'm fixing a friend's pedal and the knob doesn't seem to do much of anything.

That pot controls the taper of the volume pot. Basically it is variable resistance to ground from the main pot.
I have several EB volume pedals, and I have that control either by-passed or removed in all of them. Most people do not find that function particularly usefull.

Thanks. That's what I thought it was. I can't hear a lot of difference when changing the control. Do you know how to wire it as a minimum volume control?
