Did anyone try to get a Dobro sound from a PODxt?
Or did anyone try to translate a ProfexII Dobro setting to a PODxt setting?
(What are the Profex settings?)
Also, I don't have the "plastic" MatchBro Bar. What would be a good substitute?
Any help appreciated.

For a bar, try the end of a broom handle (wood). I tried a piece of PVC pipe, but it didn't have the rounded end, and it gave me a more thin sound, more like a banjo than a dobro (oops can I say dobro??).
Experiment, won't hurt nothin'
Don't have the PODxt yet. Waiting for the price to come down to earth.

Ben, I already experimented with broomsticks etc., But I need a little more sustain. I am trying to find someone to make some bars out of hardwood and plastic. |

Someone told me they took a screwdrive, pulled the shaft and ran the handle on a lathe, and it worked like a charm. |

I have futzed with my XT for a while now. The XT just won't do that Reso thing. I use Goodrich PedalBro which was well worth the $. Or- Try an old tea tin from an antique store. It sounds nice, but is a bit awkward. |
