Topic: Lost all volume on Sessions 400 Limited?? |

| I have lost nearly all volume on my Nashville 400 Limited. If you crank it wide open, it might be HALF as loud as if on 3. Checked the speaker connections and everything OK. At first thought it might be the pot in my Goodrich pot pedal, but changed that out twice. No cure Any ideas? Now I'm just short of takin it apart.Thanks for any input and info. Kenny Foy |

First thing you should always try is to plug the guitar directly into the amp (no volume pedal).
What's it do?
Next, plug something else (another guitar, a turntable, a microphone) into the amp.
How do they do?
If you're still not getting good volume, you know it's definitely the amp, and it's time to "crack it", or visit a good tech, and let him crack it. |

| Donny, Thanks for the info. That was a no-brainer, A duh for me, but I should have known since I've done it before. Had a senior cramp. BUT hookin the guitar straight into the amp verified the AMP is GOOD. I change the cables and still no volume, so it has to be in the pedal. I may have hooked one of the wires wrong. Would any one know the order for the 3 wires on the pot for a Goodrich pedal? They are WHITE-ORANGE-BROWN and that is the order I have them soldered from left to right lookin in thru the bottom of the pedal. |

I have less brains than a no brainer. But try
alternating the wires that go to the pedal.
Like you said,WHITE=ORANGE=BROWN= sounds crazy but try reversing the wire connections
in sequence. ORANGE=BROWN=WHITE. If nothing changes try BROWN=WHITE=ORANGE.. Did this connection as you have it come from the factory in that manner
or did someone make a change in the connections?. That sequence I think may be the problem..why I dont know but it could be.
edited,,,be sure you make a clean connection

| Jody, Hello my Friend. I've tried the reconnectin combo and it's a no go. I do believe it is a bad pot. And this is the 2nd bad NEW pot I've bought. Just the nature of the beast I guess. I'm gonna give the pedal a good going over today and make sure no frayed wires etc. I'll be callin you in a few days to check up the latest from the greatest---Thanks Jody. |
