I was listening to some old audio tapes recorded off steam radio back in the 1960s and came across Norville Dorah - Picture of a lonely man. There was some unusual steel guitar picking on it. Does anyone have any recollections of this? Who was the steeler? Do they have a cleaner recording that I could copy?
Thanks |

Hi,
Can't help on the steeler but the singers name is Norville Dollar. I have a nice copy I recorded from the 45. Let me know if you want it. |

Wow - thanks - I would very much appreciate it. My analog radio recording got so much static that it was nigh on unlistenable.
Thanks also for the correct name - it was hard to hear that also for the static.
Best wishes |

I know Pete Drake played on a couple of Norville's records, but I'm not sure about the player on song you mentioned. |
