I won't be home most of the nights it's being shown, and the timer on my VCR doesn't work. |

Mike, I have it all on CD and can send you a copy if you will e-mail me the address to send it. It may take a few days to find time to do the copy, but I'll sure be glad to do it if it will help.

Oops--I was thinking of the NPR series, not the PBS series. However, send me the dates and I'll be glad to try to tape it.

Chuck, my schedule says 8:00-9:30 Sunday night, then 8:00-10:00 Monday and thereafter until all 7 segments are shown, that's my understanding. |

Thanks guys. I've really been looking forward to seeing this series, and am quite unhappy that I'll have to miss most of it. I really appreciate your taping it for me. |

We are loaded and ready to tape. I am also looking forward to seeing it. Then if it is good I may order it up on DVD.

At $138.00 I decided to tape it and then later I can transfer it to DVD if I want.
My tapes are coming out great, and I am starting the process of making a copy so I'll have a set for myself, as well as one for Mike. |

The quality of tapes from broadcast video leaves a lot to be desired. I'll go for the DVD. |

HERESY - Frankly, it hasn't been very interesting to me from a musical standpoint. All the ground has been covered previously in books. I'll watch Friday to hear Jeff Beck, but so far I think the series has been "dumb-downed" to suit the producer's concept of the ignorant masses. |

Bob, I agree, but the signal I get from our digital cabel is pretty good, not high definition, but good. So, the tapes I am getting are pretty good quality.
Now if the series was Western Swing covering not only the Texas and Oklahoma development, but also California and other places, I would no doubt spring for the cost of the DVD, if for the logevity if not the quality. |

As I feared, the TV schedule printed in the paper was unreliable and the first show ran long but luckily I was able stay up and catch the entire thing.
As a previous poster stated, the series hasn't exactly been earthshaking.
I'd like to see it liven up a bit in the ensuing installments. |
