Did I fall asleep and miss the telecast? When was it, or when is it?

It has nothing to do with real country people or country music. Its funny. Trace Atkins just sold out and is immitating Tobie Keith in his videos! The music sucks. What a circus.

Intresting you should mention Trace Atkins, Kevin.

I just saw his new Video, "Chrome", and remarked that it is a prime example of what's wrong with mainstream "Country Music".

The Babes were Hot though....

I'm really disappointed in Trace. I thought he was gonna hang in there with the traditional sound. He sure slid off the track with that "Chrome" mess he has out now!!! I know he listens to the producers, and has contract commitments etc. But I think he would have more pride in himself if he did his own thing. IMHO of course.

I just got an angry email by a forum member thinking that I was denegrating Paul. This has nothing to do with the musicians. As far as I'm concerned Paul should be win musician
of the year every year. This is not about steel guitar. Its about cultural genocide.

Paul is what's good about Toby's records.

Compared to Trace's new stuff, Toby is sounding pretty good.

The last couple of years the only part of the CMA Awards I watch, is when I'm Surfing by during other program commercals. I do love the Steel Guitar, but I cant stand (so called) country music anymore.

James, I didn't post this to get into the whining about the music thing. Just wanted to know about the date. Sticking up for it is ok, but not the topic. The topic was: When was or when is the CMA awards?. Terry good to see you last weekend. That Fessy really was cooking. And wasn't Buddy really cooking, too, Saturday night?
