Well, it wasn't too bad. I've seen much worse. Bill Anderson is always good, the Flatts weren't THAT bad but he sings through his nose, Eddy Raven was great but he never has any steel and Gene Watson, what can I say cause he sang "Farewell Party" and his steel player was great.

Gene Watson's still got it strong. One of the few that can send chills up my spine and that cat can do it to me everytime. He still throws a knockout punch every time he punches the end of 'FAREWELL PARTY'.
All in all, a pretty good mix tonight.

Gene Watson is one of my favorites.

But the highlight of the show was the upright Bass doing Alabama Jubilee

I think the highlight of the show was when the Rascal FLats band got off the stage. Gene Watson is still a #1 highlight to any show in my book and would make a great addition to the Opry membership..If it wants to remain a Country music venue.

After you listen to Gene sing last night, then think off Toby winning the award, go figure?

Man, you guys are killing me. My poor excuse for a cable TV company doesn't give us CMT. Man I really miss the opry. Gene Watson is possibly my favorite singer. What a voice.
