Hi-
A friend of mine is selling his Sho-Bud single ten. 3x4 Emmons set-up. It has recently been restored (refurbished?) by Tom Bradshaw. It is natural finish with a maple neck.
If it sells to a forum member he will be sending a donation. Actually, I think I convinved him to join.
He would prefer to sell it in SF or Sacramento. He is bringing it by today so I can take some pictures to email to whoever is interested.
His number is 559 905-0548
I will post more detailed info after I get a closer look.[This message was edited by Joseph Carlson on 20 October 2005 at 08:01 AM.] |

If you can send pics, that would be great. I'll be driving through Sac next weekend. I'll call the seller in the meantime.

I will email those pics today.

Hi-
As far as dating a Sho-Bud, I'm not really sure. On this guitar Tom Bradshaw put a plaque saying that it was a 1978 Sho-Bud that he worked on in 2004. I'd imagine it would have to do with the year various changes were made to the mechanism along with the serial number.

Joe |

Yes; there is no way to tell the year of a Sho-bud from the serial number> as those numbers were put on there for only personal identification purposes.
I would say that if Tom Bradshaw says it's 1978; than it is, as he's well aware of when each model and style sho-buds were made through the years.

Cool!
I'm glad she got a new home. I was this close to buying her myself, but there was no way I could justify owning three steels given my current skill level.
I'll make sure Natan sends the appropriate donation to this fine forum.

Joe |
