I have a very nice 8 string Fender 400 for sale. Original Sunburst finish is in excellent condition with a few small chips on the edges but overall very nice. Black frame and chrome in excellent condition. 4 pedals. Thin pickup. Stays in tune forever and plays very well. No adjustments needed!!! This guitar does NOT break strings. Has that Mooney sound built in. Original cream colored case in excellent condition as well. Previous owner disconnected the volume and tone controls but they are there and original.
$600.00 plus shipping and it is heavy!

I too have a Fender 400 with 4 pedals that I am concidering selling.
I would rate it an 8 of 10 Cosmeticly.
Sunburst Finish. A few wear marks on the players side, and a few dings on the pedal rack, but overall a great looking axe.
Cam changer fingers and roller nut.
As stated above, stays in tune great and does not break strings.
Sounds killer!
Pedal action feels great, stops are solid.
Reason for selling: I am hoping to locate a double neck Fender Pedal Steel of the same vintage.
Looks just like this one I found a picture of on the net: http://www.telapex.com/~cejjrpe/f400ped.htm
Email or call for details and/or to hear it played over the phone (503-452-3756).
