I have this hobby - tabbing out steel parts when it's not available. I don't charge anything, since it is a hobby for me. I would love to help [if I can figure it out] anyone who might be stuck. The important thing is to have a reasonable file with the lick or song you want tabbed. MP3 files, .au's and .wavs work pretty well. Let me know by posting here if you can... my email might be changing.

Hi Terry! I've been trying to find some tab for Eagles stuff. "Ol' 55", "Best of My Love" and "Girl From Yesterday". I'll send the MP-3's one at time to you (in case your ISP has attachment limits). Let me know if they don't make it. Thanks in advance for anything you're willing to do.

b0b, you may want to move this to tablature.

Terry:
You're more than welcome to check out the Rebelâ„¢, Ricky and Jeff website listed below my name and tab any of the licks not tabbed. Ricky and Jeff have been pretty busy lately and not a lot of tab has been done in the last little while. They send it to me done up in text in Notepad and I make up a webpage for it and put it on the site. Credit is given to the person who does the tab.
The site is averaging 600 hits a week.
Perhaps you can let me know if you might be interested.

Thanks.

I'd love to see Jimmy Crawford's "Lunar Tick" tabbed (off the "Ton of Steel" album).

Also, PF's 180 BPM solo on "Pick it Apart" on Mark O'Connor's "The New Nashville Cats Album". That would save me some work.

Along the vein that Pete tapped into, almost ANY Crawford stuff would certainly exercise the old grey matter. One, in particular, that comes to mind is 'DeeDee'. I learned most of it when 'Steel Crazy' first came out, then visited Jimmie a year or so later and asked him to show it to me and he said he'd already forgotten it.

Terry, maybe it would be wise for you to collaborate with Graham, Ricky, and Jeff Lampert. You could help fill in gaps and would not have to worry about an accessible place to store the finished tab where many steel players frequently visit.

Just a thought. Thanks for the offer.

Maybe you could do the Franklin solo from 'Walk of Life' on the live Dire Straits album, then you, Pete, and I could compare notes. (warning: it's more than a 30 minute exercise)

Thank for the response! Thom, I'm working those this weekend. Graham, I sent you an email. What a wonderful idea to have that site for tab! Pete, I sent you and email too. I LOVE Jimmie Crawford! ...and Paul Franklin too. Larry, I don't believe I have DeeDee or the solo you mention on Dire Straits. I would love to do them if you email the parts you want tabbed.

Send to tkwendt1@theearlydays.com

Look forward to more tab homework! God Bless everyone.

Hello, Terry, and thanks in advance for doing the tab to some of my favorite steel songs. Will the tab appear then on the Rebel, Ricky and Jeff site that Graham mentioned? The site has a ton of great stuff and would be easily accessible from there for many steelers. I would also free you up from having to send tab out to all those who ask.

Hey everyone! I had some unexpected "in home" recording sessions to do this past weekend... so, I am just a few days behind my anticipated "tabbing deadline." I will be passing on the tab to the Rebel site, as well as emailing to those who have asked outside of the SGF postings. So, please be patient, I am still working on it! Also, thanks everyone for all the wonderful selections and requests for tablature. I am enjoying meeting everyone of you too!

there used to be a blank for writing tab onto at a 'blank page of steel' or something like that...you could just print it off the website...anyone know what happened to it?

TAB is running a little behind folks - (due to an unexected move to a different home - my landlord is going to be selling our house) - I am still working on it though! Keep it coming - it will all go out near the same time! Thanks for all the interesting and challenging parts requests for TAB!

Sure Wayne! If you would email the file to:
tkwendt1@theearlydays.com
it will be on our server that way which accepts larger file sizes. I mentioned earlier on up about our need to move... but it looks as if I will still be able to work a bit through it. (Yea! I still get to have my "steel therapy!") Look forward to the file Wayne!

One more time for me

Been verrrrrry busy here lately! (no more 2pT )

Finally can take a breath and "do a tab or two" for any of you who would still like something worked out. Perfect timing for me with a fairly open schedule at present.

If you've emailed me or mailed me something already, please just remind me. Coming at cha!
