| How can I adjust the volume at full off position to not be completely zero? I can tighten it just fine to work as intended, wrapping it around the screw, etc. I've also tried tightening the string at the screw's half on position, and it works alright, but the pedal becomes a bit stiffer and doesn't depress to where the full off position would be because of the reduced slack I'm assuming, or probably because I'm doing it wrong. Is there a diagram on how to adjust it correctly to have around 5%-10% volume at off position, or some other workaround? |

| It depends on the type of pot in the pedal. If it has a slot in the end of the pot it's a breeze- turn it over, remove the backing plate, put it in full off position, loosen the pot collar, turn the pot to the desired volume with a screw driver at the end, tighten the pot collar and reassemble. If there is no slot for the screw driver to use it's tougher but not impossible. Note the position of the holding screw in the pot collar when the volume is what you want then loosen the string and with the heel of the pedal down, restring when the pot collar screw is at the position. |

Just a tip for future pot installations but won't help you now obviously.
Before installation, cut a slot in the end for the pot stem. A dremel, hack saw, coping saw. If the pedal doesn't already have a hole in the lower part, most Goodrich pedals do, drill a 1/4 hole in line with the pot stem.
This will allow you to adjust the pot range to suit you a lot easier to which Jim P replied. |

| Thank you both, and great tip, Jerry. I don’t have a screwdriver slot unfortunately. I’m going be installing new pots soon with that adjustment. I’m sure it’s also a bit of my method trying to maintain that middle pedal zone constantly without relaxing my heel, but this pot’s volume surely takes a little long to come in by default. This L120 is one of the older models without the tensioning axle as well, I’m sure tightening the spring by the heel could help too. The PSG is running great also, Jim. |
