I wonder if anyone can offer us any insight on what is ever going to happen to all the Jeff Newman material? Is it destined to be lost forever? I know Tom Bradshaw and others have been making attempts to archive it and make it available.

Hi there. Jim Reynolds here. I worked with Tom and many others to try and get and catalogue, all of Jeff's material. I do believe with the help of so many forum members, managed to get most of everything he done. However, we can't seem to get Jeff's family open to give Tom permission to do anything with them. We also have Jeff's cousin's son (Brian Spratt), that has been one of our biggest helpers. He was able to totally able to retore them to original condition. Tom is still trying. I am going to have to back out of it, as I've been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Going through Chemo at present. I do believe though, we have everything Jeff did.

Jim:

Thanks for the reply and so sorry to hear about your misfortune. We are all so appreciative of all the work you guys have done, just hope it isn't for nothing.

I am just curious whether the issue with the family is financial or emotional or a combination of both. Despite the past none of us here has anything but best wishes for the family and would be forever grateful to them if the material was made available in some fashion. Thanks again!

I believe it to be all emotional. They all seem to be very nice people. I think it was just so hard on them.

If they are not going to keep the Jeffran college materials available, They need to license the copyrights to someone so the materials Mr. Newman developed will be available to steel players world wide.

It may take more investment than realized. For contract printers and DVD providers, Or equipment to do it In House.
