Gees those pics show majority if not all older folks in the crowd-NO YOUNG PEOPLE. Is one of my favorite styles of music dying too? Course I'm 64 yrs old, I must be old too.

He had Bobby on the back neck 😎

Duane Reese, I am 67. Western Swing was still a style we could cut our teeth on when we were young because it was still being played on radio and by live bands.
Now, young people have to seek it out in the Library of Congress, or on Spotify, which some actually do. It is definitely anachronistic, but, like Bluegrass or Hawaiian or Bossa Nova, I don’t believe it will ever disappear.

Sorry I missed it! I had planned on coming, but I became ill last week, not tested - but I think it was a fairly mild case of Covid. A lot of people where I work in a part of the summer retirement job had recently contracted Covid. Felt pretty good by Saturday, but didn’t want to risk bringing it with me and possibly expose fellow oldsters. Along with that there’s two hour plus drive each way from my place near Santa Rosa.

Looks like a great time was had by all!
