Thank y'all for the awesome comments! What made me decide to get back to pedal steel was the fact that I'd taken a break for six years and in 2021, I was sitting in my house one day, listening to some of my favorite country records and songs of the nineties, and they all had great steel in them, and I kept telling myself, "I miss playing steel". I've always said that if I ever did stop playing steel completely, I'd be very upset because I stopped, and even if there are days when I don't play, it's not because I've stopped, I'm enjoying other things too, in addition to playing steel. But, it's wonderful to be back in the steel saddle!

I remember back in the 70's or early 80's about a great professional steel player (forget who) who just quit playing, and at the time found it difficult to believe something like that could happen. THEN, it happened to me, TWICE ... once for 8 years and once for 6, and when I picked it up again, (in 2008) it was like relearning it all over again, but the bug bit hard, and in the years since 2008, I've had 7 guitars, 3 of which were ordered new. Anyhow there's something about the beauty of this instrument that has the ability to draw one back to it. I'm glad it drew me back and glad you're playing agin too Brett.
