What I've learned after a lifetime of collecting instruments is that I have a whole bunch of "forevers", but I don't have a "one". Plenty that I will keep for the rest of my life (and some of them are in my will, to make sure they go to the right people). But there's no on instrument that's completely satisfying, where I don't feel any desire to play anything else.

All my forever pedal steels our gone!
Seems there is no such thing as a forever pedal steel.

With one exception:

Mr. Lloyd Green has kept his 1973 Sho Bud a long time !!!!
