Saturday, April 1 , 2023 will be the MinneSteelGuitar Event in Monticello , Minnesota from 11:00 to 7pm.
The theme of this Pedal Steel Event will be: “ Remembering the 70s 80s and the 90s era of Suneson’s Music Store steel jams and the Steel Guitar Emporium Days in Minneapolis.
This Event will feature 4 seminars from 4 different pedal steel players, along with some steel students in a Recital and a special concert with a famous artist featuring 4 steel players. There will be door prizes and food as well.

Have you been able to coax Clem into attending your Monticello shindig, Albert? Or Al Udeen? Cal Hand?
It's times like this (which are indeed infrequent) that I regret having relocated 900+ miles from Wright County. |

Unfortunately I have not been able to contact Cal Hand. I don’t have any info on him. I would love to have him there as he was so instrumental in those early years in the area for pedal steel. Also I did briefly talk to Clem however he did not appear to desire to much anymore with the steel guitar. Sad! I have been in contact with Al Udeen and may get him to come Lord willing for a short visit. That would be awesome as he gave me lessons at Suneson’s when I was a beginner. Otherwise the response has been overwhelming and I believe it will be a packed event as we can only have about 100 attendees.
