Hi guys, I’m looking for a short scale 8 strings lap steel for an Hawaiian music project. I seen this steel for sale but I’m not sure if the scale and if it’s a good tone steel for Hawaiian. Anyone know those steel?

I don't have a model ID or a scale, though I think this predates Magnatone's long-scale models. But any Magnatone will make an excellent Hawaiian steel. They tend to have a warm, mellow sound with low to moderate output. |

Does the seller have a tape measure and know how to read it? |

I had one in nearly new condition recently in a 6 string. 2 tone, I think one of the prettiest laps ever. not the most powerful but a very good old time sound. 22.5 inch scale. Get it. |

Those 8 string Mags are rare. I have a 8 string G65 and I'm pretty positive it's a 24 1/2 scale, I don't have it here now to measure though. |
