You said "wood finish".. Its it an all wood, maple body, lacquer finished guitar, or a Mica wood grain finish??.. There is a difference in value.. the Mica MSA guitars are less highly regarded, because many of us feel they just did not sound as good as the later all maple MSA guitars.. MSA steels used to be cheap, but they are coming up in value.. I would think a nice Mica body might be wortH $1400-1500, and a nice maple/lacquer body might be worth I dunno $1800-2000, depending on condition.. used up beaters would be worth substantially less of course.. Can't beat the build quality of the MSA Classic guitars.. They truly are bulletproof... bob

Bob, Thanks for the info, all thr MSA guitars I have seen were Formica Covered I had never run across one like this .
Forgive me for not nowing the correct term but it is as you say All Wood Maple Body and has a good tone IMHO.After playing exclusivly Emmons Guitars since 1968 my knowledge of MSA is limited.Again thanks for the quick responsem

The MSA Classics are great guitars. I have a single 10 and a D10. They were ahead of their time and are still very good guitars. I see a lot of similarities between the MSA Classics and present day GFI guitars in construction. They were underrated for years I believe because so many were built.

As with most anything, the price depends on condition and what someone is willing to pay. I have seen the price begin to increase of late.
