Kline double neck. After further discussion this may be a 76-78
I am not a steel player but I have seen my steel guy play this awesome guitar for years.
He got to old to carry this thing around so I got him a single neck and traded him for it.
I only need a single neck for my studio so I am selling.
I honestly don't know what year but he bought it in 1973
E9 and C6 necks. 8 foot pedals and 5 knee levers.
I do know that it is not the original neck. Other than that I think it is all original.
I would be willing to consider trade plus boot for a nice single neck.
I am asking 3.500.00 OBO
Make me an offer.
Shipping depend on how you want it sent. Through UPS Ground about 140.00 3 day 320.00
Thanks

I think it's a few years later than 1973. Probably 1977 or thereabouts. Serial numbers started with 3954 so yours, #3979, is an early one. I have #3991, which I ordered new in 1978. The necks are probably original but the fretboards are not. It looks like the fretboards have an extra layer of aluminum under them. I'm not sure what that's for, but it's possible the original fretboards are still under all that. As for advice, I don't feel qualified to comment on price, and anyway I wouldn't do that in a for-sale ad. But I will say that in my experience, Klines sound great and stay in tune well, and the keyless headstock design works very well (easy to tune, easy and quick to change strings). |
