Donald go to Carter's website and go to the adjustment link. It will show you the correct set-up for those strings.
For an easier but longer throw,you will typically move the rod to the hole closest to the cross shaft axle and on the changer end, downward away from the changer axle.
You will possibly have to reset the pedal stop adjustment screw for the slightly longer pedal throw.
I highly suggest you make a chart before you tear into this so you can put it back like it was if need be.
