Boy I thought I'd heard that Sierras were lacking in tone. I guess no one told Buddy. |

The usual magnificent Buddy Emmons but I can't say I like the tone.
I remember one year at the ISGC he played a Sierra and I and several others commented his sound "wasn't the usual Buddy". The next year he was still endorsing Sierra but didn't use a Sierra and it was "the Buddy Emmons sound". |

I was there and it sounded great to me.
The video mic and shooting location in relation to the steel also factor in.
I don't remember if there's a spongy compression on there as well. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

Sounded great to me too Chris. I don't know if it was the same year, but he also played that guitar at the ISGC convention with Darrell McCall.
I saw hime play a bunch of TV shows at Church Street Staion with the Sierra guitars too. Great sound. |
