Yup, she’s gorgeous alright! The DP came in 2 finishes: blonde and walnut (and would have come in a tweed case). Impossible to know how this guy came into the world, but it looks great now!
How does it sound? The only concern I have when buying these (provided all the persnickety lollipops are working) is the pickups. See, the coil is wound around a waxed paper bobbin that, in most cases, shrinks over time. I’ve had to have the trap pickups rewound on most of the DPs I’ve owned, but it’s not a problem to remove them and ship ‘em off to someone like Rick Aiello or Tom Brantley (it’s not even that expensive!).
You might wanna take a picture showing the string-through space on each pickup. It’s usually easy to see if the bobbin is shrinking because it begins to encroach on that space.
Good luck with the sale! I’d buy it myself if I didn’t have a walnut ‘54 sitting in my music room right now ☺ï¸
