Interesting guitar.
Two things that jump out at me --
It's strung lefty (neither here nor there....it can be strung however anyone wants, assuming the treble-side nut slots haven't been widened too much).
The head stock would seem to have been born as a 7 stringer. I wonder if it's even possible to get the 8th string onto the tuning post. |

It’s a Wright custom neck on a home made body. Probably came off a double or triple neck pedal guitar.

It looks like that .... But some Wrights have a home made look to them. I owned a similar Wright single neck with body and leg sockets like this. Same wood too, which appears to be a Lauan type of S. American Hardwood, or Mahogany-ish but not a true Mahogany.
It looks like a legit Wright to me.
I sold it on the Forum here , and some one could probably drum up the sale for comparison if interested.
It was a single 10 .

 I have it's second cousin. It had been butchered, painted BLUE with a paint brush. It was kept in an outside shed for many years causing the aluminum to oxidize and peel the neck paint. I've had to make some parts and use my imagination to get to this point. I have had it strung up and it sounds great. I had Chuck's son David confirm it is a Wright, |

Seems weird that Wright would make a guitar with black neck and aluminum end plates - especially end plates that don’t actually carry the legs. Even his crude early guitars seem better made than this, which judging by the black crinkle paint, is not an early guitar. Maybe he made this one during a bender?

Also - why would there be a cut out for a changer that is clearly not where the changer is? I think this cabinet was made for something else and someone “upgraded†it to a Wright neck.

The Wright Custom S-8 with 6 pedals that I had also had Black Crinkle Paint in the same places and a silver (Stainless Steel) wrap around body.
David told me his dad liked Black Crinkle Paint.

Traded it a couple of years ago. My memory is not what it used to be.
I think it was in the same place as this one he is selling.

Jon, if I had this I believe I would string the 8th string on tuner 7 and the 7th string on tuner 8.

Andy, your Wright is newer than Glen's neck and pickup. Glen's is more like these Wrights of mine:
Or this other one I have that was chopped from a triple or a quad:
In my bottomless spare parts pile, I have extra and correct era original Wright legs, changer fingers, pedal cranks, pedal rack with four pedals, pedal rods and lots of screws.
